Event Design and Coordination
“The whole is equal to the sum of its parts.  Amazing events are the product of great design”
Design Perspective

You may have noticed our webpage is a little different than many of our colleagues.  Why?  Because we think in order to provide you a unique event, we need to be able to demonstrate our perspective.   We love to make a statement with our designs, incorporating what is hot in the fashion and hospitality industries.   So if you are looking for a signature event that your guests will remember years to come, you have come to the right place!

The Design Experience

In our experience, an event that is not designed lacks the cohesion of a clear theme or vision.  Design is not just about making things look aesthetically pleasing or "pretty", but understanding how every element should be detailed to be perfectly yours.  Planning is just a small part of the design process.  The foundation of our business is based on the fundamentals of interior design.

"Interior design is the art and science of understanding people's behavior to create functional spaces within a building. The decoration is the furnishing or adorning of a space with fashionable or beautiful things. In short, interior designers may decorate, but decorators do not design."

Designing an event is based on the same principles, and is the focus of eventology. This is the JMT Eventology approach to wedding and event planning.

Designing Your Event

Event planning books are a "connect the dots" approach for the "average" event and only offer a glimpse into the planning process.  They provide general templates for budget and other concepts employed in coordination.  What is missing?  The authors have never met you. Event design takes into consideration your guest demographics, the regional and cultural differences, as well as your personal style. You are more than just the average person and we want your event to reflect that.  This is the design difference.

At JMT Eventology, we develop a theme based on the information you provide.  Every event has a theme or focal point to design around.  We love when a client has a vision or story to tell, as this provides insight into not just what you want, but who you are and what will fill your every desire. If the story is not there yet, then we can brainstorm based on your likes and dislikes to make sure that we create the story that fits you best!  We then work with our creative partners such as florists and décor companies to bring it to life.
